Our Instructors

Youth Literacy instructors

Our teachers meet in small groups or one-on-one with nearly 100 students each month.

Our Youth Literacy instructors work to tackle the disparities faced by students living in poverty and students of color as they work toward academic success.

According to Minnesota Compass: “Reading proficiency by the end of third grade is often a predictor for future academic and life success….students with limited reading skills are also more likely to exhibit behavioral problems, repeat a grade, and eventually drop out of school.”

With the recent addition of our third literacy instructor, Ms. Sophie, this program has been able to expand school partnerships, expand services, increase interventions, and better meet the incredible demand for children needing support by increasing services from 50 youth to over 100 youth.
