Resources and Referrals

Neighborhood House Family Centers are a “first call” and one-stop resource for St. Paul families in need. Staff use their multicultural understanding, knowledge of available resources, and advocacy skills to ensure that families gain information and access to relevant public and private resources. When needed, staff provide families with direct referrals to external agencies and/or government programs.

Finally, Family Centers encourage families to act as resources to themselves, other families, and their communities. We do this by offering cultural and social engagement activities that strengthen community connections. To ensure that families are able to attend these activities, Family Centers provide access to transportation and child care.
