THRIVE family visits

In addition to classroom learning, our students and their parents also receive our early childhood home visits or online visits. During these sessions, our Child Development Specialist provides support for both the children and their primary caregiver that is uniquely tailored to each family’s needs. Our educators offer ideas to caregivers for extending learning and skill-building beyond the classroom, information about child development, and help them navigate the school system so their children are ready for academic success.

In these visits, our instructors use the Parent As Teacher curriculum and focus on:

  • Making playtime educational
  • Helping you set routines for your child
  • Supporting your child’s development
  • Working with children who are learning English as a second language
  • Helping the caregiver prepare their child for kindergarten
