Food markets at Neighborhood House

Our two free food markets are designed to support those in need of food assistance and other food-related needs. We are working to strengthen our community by giving ample access to the community. For additional questions about the Food Markets, please visit our FAQs page.

COVID-19 policy

All staff and shoppers must wear a mask at all times. Masks will be provided if visitors don’t have one handy.

At the Wellstone Center Food Market an appointment-based, choice model is used. This allows participants to sign-up for a timeslot once per month to shop themselves and/or with a volunteer or food intake worker. Appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Process

Make an appointment (must be 48 hours in advance). When it is your appointment time, simply show up, we will record the visit and ask a few detailed questions, choose the food items you want, check-out (Note: there may be food item/pound limits based on household size).

pLEASE PARK BEHIND THE WELLSTONE CENTER. YOU MAY PARK ALONG THE CURB NEXT TO THE BUILDING (ON THE LEFT AS YOU DRIVE UP).

The Francis Basket Food Market has a walk-up model, so visitors can simply show up, walk to the door and ring the doorbell. A food market intake worker will welcome you, ask you a few questions, then ask you to kindly wait until they bring your food items to you.

Receiving food from Neighborhood House really helps. It takes a little bit of stress off me and what I have to do to provide for my family.
