Neighborhood House is delighted to announce the appointment of Kristen Neurer as Vice President of Advancement, effective September 30, 2025. Kristen joins us at a pivotal moment as we publicly launch our $25 million Hope in Action campaign this fall.
Kristen brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience with a proven track record in marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement, donor cultivation and stewardship, and fundraising strategy. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Member Engagement at Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys, where she led a team of 20 and oversaw marketing, communications, and customer care for more than 23,000 members. In that role, she partnered closely with fund development teams to craft donor-centered communications and engagement strategies that supported more than $2 million annually in contributed revenue, strengthening donor and partner relationships.
Her career also includes senior leadership roles at Hamline University, where she coordinated its 150th anniversary campaign and advanced efforts that boosted enrollment, visibility, and donor support of its $150 million comprehensive campaign.
President and CEO Janet Gracia praised Kristen’s vision and approach: “Kristen brings a thoughtful, strategic vision for engaging diverse audiences and donors. The ideas she shared throughout the search process show she is ready to expand and energize our donor community. She understands that authentic growth takes time and must be grounded in community, context, and relationships. That patience and discipline will serve Neighborhood House well as we broaden our visibility.”
Kristen also shared her excitement about joining Neighborhood House: “I am honored to be joining Neighborhood House at such an important moment. I look forward to partnering with the Advancement team, colleagues across the organization, and our board to expand and steward our donor community, strengthen our visibility, and ensure the success of the Hope in Action campaign.”
Kristen is a long-time resident of St. Paul, an empty nester with an adult son in Austin, TX, and an avid crafter, embroiderer, and watercolor dabbler. Please join us in welcoming Kristen Neurer to Neighborhood House!
