Neighborhood House is so thankful to be on the receiving end of over 115 menstrual kits and other hygiene items for our participants from the Galantine’s Day event put on by HandsOn Twin Cities. This “Galantine’s Day” event called for women to come together with their gal pals and create hygiene kits for five twin cities nonprofits. At the event there were prizes, giveaways, and swag bags for people who participated. It is something HandsOn Twin Cities hopes to continue annually.
Altogether Neighborhood House received:
Body wash/soap: 106
Toothpaste: 24
Toothbrushes: 50
Shampoo: 48 bottles
Conditioner: 48 bottles
Hair products: 22 bottles
Pads: 114 packs
Tampons: 62 packs
Menstrual kits: 115
Items like menstrual pads and tampons, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner all go fast in our family centers and in our markets, so again, we are so thankful to HandsOn Twin Cities and all who participated in the Galantine’s Day event.
P.S. – We are always in need of these items (body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, pads, tampons) if you are interested in donating these items directly to Neighborhood House please email Elisabeht, our Development & In-Kind Coordinator.
