As March comes to a close, we’re wrapping up another impactful March Food Drive at Neighborhood House, and what a month it has been! March Food Drive is all about neighbors helping neighbors, and our community showed up in truly amazing ways!
The campaign kicked off with our first event at Lake Monster Brewing, a day full of art, music, and community. Thanks to the generosity of Lake Monster Brewing, the musicians who volunteered their time, and the artists who donated pieces for the art auction, we were able to raise $9,000 and 353 pounds of food. This momentum carried through the rest of the month.
Even in the face of a snowy weekend, the energy didn’t slow down for our Stuff the Truck event. With our partners at Summit Brewing and Van Meter and all of the amazing community members who participated, the truck was successfully “stuffed” with 4,440 pounds of food and essential items.
Community support continued to pour in with Grocery Store Weekend and Mississippi Market Saturday. Between both events, we received 3,927 pounds of food and $4,235 in monetary donations from neighbors from all over the Saint Paul and Woodbury area.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and participated in March Food Drive this month. Your support makes a direct impact on local families, and with our bulk purchasing power and donation matches from Minnesota FoodShare, you have been a critical part of ensuring those same families have the items they need to thrive in the months to come. Between our four events, the 45 fundraisers hosted by community partners, and the generous donations we have received, we’ve raised $127,613 and 16,369 pounds of food and essential items.* We want to give a heartfelt thank you for your efforts and invite you to stay involved with Neighborhood House. There are many ways to partner with us, and we would love your continued support.
