212 Anna Heilmaier Meeting Room

Bright, elegant, and versatile, the Anna Heilmaier Meeting Room features floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows with views of Saint Paul’s West Side neighborhood and downtown skyline.

Natural light creates an inviting atmosphere for gatherings and social events, while curtains can be drawn during presentations or when a more intimate setting is preferred. Four-foot round tables, comfortable padded chairs, stone walls, and white columns give the room a polished and welcoming feel.

The room also includes a wireless microphone, built-in sound system, and motorized projection screen, making it an excellent choice for meetings, presentations, celebrations, and special events.

West Side Room 272

Our largest traditional meeting and event space, the West Side Room comfortably accommodates up to 200 guests. Located on the second floor of the Wellstone Center, this spacious room offers privacy, natural light, and flexibility for larger gatherings.

The room features five-foot round tables, comfortable padded chairs, large windows, a built-in sound system, and three flat-screen TVs for presentations.

Ideal for conferences, corporate meetings, luncheons, workshops, celebrations, and other large events.

West Side Room 271

Designed with trainings and workshops in mind, the Robie Training Room is located in the north wing on the second floor of the Wellstone Center.

The classroom-style setup includes rectangular tables and comfortable chairs, creating a practical environment for learning, collaboration, and group discussions. Flat-screen TVs are available for presentations and visual materials.

Ideal for trainings, workshops, classes, presentations, and educational programs.

Ecolab Fireside Meeting Room 107

Located on the first floor just beyond the main entrance and lobby, the Ecolab Fireside Meeting Room combines the character of the Wellstone Center with the features needed for a productive meeting.

Floor-to-ceiling windows provide plenty of natural light, while a stone-surround fireplace creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Historic Neighborhood House details, including original artifacts and tiles, add character to the space.

With its boardroom-style setup, this room is ideal for meetings, planning sessions, presentations, and small professional gatherings.

Elaine Saline Meeting Room 210

The Elaine Saline Meeting Room is a comfortable option for small, informal gatherings. Large windows provide natural light and views of the West Side community, while a large conference table creates a simple, functional setup for conversation and collaboration.

Ada Meeting Room 244

For small groups that need a quiet and private setting, the Ada Meeting Room offers a traditional boardroom-style setup with one large conference table.

A flat-screen TV is available for presentations and virtual meetings. This interior room does not have windows, making it a private environment with fewer distractions.

Ideal for small meetings, interviews, planning sessions, and private discussions.

Winifred Meeting Room 245

The Winifred Meeting Room provides a traditional boardroom-style environment for small groups. Located in a private area on the second floor, the room features a large conference table and flat-screen TVs for presentations.

This interior meeting room does not have windows, providing a quiet setting for focused conversations.

Ideal for board meetings, small presentations, interviews, and planning sessions.

Performance Space

The Performance Space is a unique 265-seat venue designed for events that need a stage and theater-style seating.

With a 25′ x 30′ stage, the space is well suited for conference keynote speakers, lectures, live theater, musical performances, presentations, and community programs. Rental options can accommodate anything from a single-day event to an extended production.

The main entrance to the Performance Space is located on the first floor.

Dance Room 22

Located on the lower level near the Saint Paul Parks and Recreation workout room, Dance Room 22 is a studio-style space designed for movement and physical activities.

Mirrored walls make the room especially well suited for dance rehearsals, fitness activities, movement classes, and similar programs.

Multi- Purpose Room 124

Located on the main level next to the Community Kitchen, Room 124 is a flexible space that can accommodate a variety of activities and gatherings.

The room includes two bathrooms and connects directly to an outdoor patio, providing additional convenience for groups and events. The adjacent Community Kitchen may be available to rent for an additional fee.

Ideal for crafts, children’s activities, birthday parties, classes, and community gatherings.

Community Kitchen

The Community Kitchen is a welcoming instructional kitchen designed for hands-on learning, cooking classes, and demonstrations.

The kitchen features induction cooktops, which require induction-compatible cookware, along with a large refrigerator and workspace for group activities.

The Community Kitchen is intended for classes, demonstrations, and educational activities. Commercial cooking and catering operations are not permitted in this space.

Main Rotunda

The Main Rotunda is one of the Wellstone Center’s most distinctive gathering spaces. High ceilings, abundant natural light, and culturally diverse artwork create a welcoming setting for community and special events.

The space works especially well for receptions following a lecture or performance, conference gatherings, networking events, and community celebrations.

The adjacent St. Paul Travelers Lobby offers additional gathering space with high- and low-top tables, comfortable seating, and a stone fireplace.

Upper Rotunda

Overlooking the Main Rotunda, the Upper Rotunda provides additional flexible space for conferences, community events, and other gatherings.

Its circular design and open center overlook the activity below, making it especially useful for vendor tables, informational booths, registration, networking, or as an additional breakout area during an all-day conference.

Valerie Dorschner | Early Childhood Instructor

Valerie has worked at Neighborhood House since 2004.

Valerie leads the Skills for School preschool program and is responsible for the curriculum. She has over 20 years of experience in early childhood working with parents and children, and has training and experience working with neurodiverse and dual language students.

  • Valerie is a licensed teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas.
  • She holds licenses in elementary education and in early childhood education, and has several years of experience
    teaching elementary school.

Valerie enjoys her free time with her five children and one grandchild.

Victoria Campoverde

Victoria Campoverde is the program manager of Neighborhood House’s Latino Leadership Program. She is originally from Peru and was a licensed high school teacher in her home country.

Her extensive experience within the education sector exemplifies her commitment to education and families.

  • Currently, she serves as the Cultural Liaison between Columbia Heights School District and Anoka-Hennepin School District.
  • In 2008 Victoria began working with The Amherst H. Wilder Foundation’s Latino Leadership Program on adapting their curriculum for the Latinx community. Since then, she has continued working in the Latino Leadership Program after its 2020 transition to Neighborhood House.
  • Coauthor of Education: Our Best Legacy (EOBL), a school success program designed for parents or caregivers with one or more children in middle school. EOBL is part of the Partnering for School Success project (PSS) with the University of Minnesota’s Extension program.
  • Lead teacher and Program Director at Joyce Preschool.
  • A 25 on the Rise, Latino Leader recipient from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in 2006.
  • Facilitator with different Latino parent programs in the Twin Cities.
  • President of Kuyayki Peru MN Cultural Association.

For Victoria it is important to value ones culture and cultivate ones heritage. She believes in the importance of empowering the community through her work with Neighborhood House and the Latino Leadership Program. During her free time Victoria enjoys dancing.

Winter / Spring Fresh Produce Distributions Events*

From November–May, all are welcome to come pick up a variety of free fruits and vegetables for family and friends. Distributions take place at Metro State University in St. Paul.

This event is held indoors. Masks are encouraged but not required.

During each event, we distribute approximately 3,000 pounds of food to approximately 75-100 families on average.

No documentation or identification is required to participate.

Event guideline and details: Our fresh produce events are open to everyone!

  • Requirements: Nothing! You do not need identification to receive food.
  • Recommendations: You may want to bring your own bags and a cart if you have one. On average, visitors will leave with approximately 40 pounds of fresh produce per event. 
  • Registration: First-time visitors are required to register on site. The registration process will take 5-10 minutes to complete.
  • Parking: You can park in the Metro State ramp parking for $5. Otherwise, street parking is available along 7th St. and Bates Avenue.

Summer / Fall distributions* (Summer 2026)

From July to October, all are welcome to come pick up a variety of free fruits and vegetables for family and friends at our St. Paul locations.

Parking

The Wellstone Center Parking Ramp is located on the west side of the main building. The ramp has three levels with one elevator bank. Take the elevator to the first floor and follow the signs towards the information desk.
Parking is free.
