The Board of Directors is announcing that after ten years serving as president of Neighborhood House, Nancy Brady will retire in June 2024.
“It has been a true honor to lead Neighborhood House for what will be a decade in June 2024. I fell in love with Neighborhood House when I met it and it will continue to be important to me after my retirement. I believe deeply in our mission.” Nancy recently shared with staff when announcing her retirement.
Nancy has had a tremendous impact on Neighborhood House and the people we serve. Most notably, in 2018 Nancy guided the effort to create a new strategic framework for Neighborhood House, which has led to record fundraising for the organization, critical expansion of the housing stability program, and developing the most diverse Board in the organization’s history. Her steady leadership through the COVID-19 pandemic ensured that services for the community continued and that we emerged from the pandemic stronger than ever.
“I have learned and grown in many ways during the last ten years and those lessons will remain with me always – the importance of community engagement, how diversity helps us achieve inclusivity and equity, and the power of being able to rely on those around you are at the top of the list. I am grateful to everyone I have met along the way and look forward to maintaining many relationships into the future,” she said.
Board Chair, Luis Rosario, is leading the search process for the next President of Neighborhood House. He will be joined by a search committee that will include board members and key community representatives.
